When leaders consider new strategy: programs, services, or start-ups, they look to me for guidance, technical support, and coaching. Clients use me in targeted ways to frame and facilitate visioning discussions with board members, staff, and other constituents. Often I am hired to conduct interviews, survey, and foster group reflection and
feedback processes.
I also lead longer-term, comprehensive strategic planning processes that result in 3 – 5 year plans and actionable ways to achieve
positive social impact.
I work with clients and their constituents
to design and implement evaluation and assessment processes. Developing and administering quantitative and qualitative methods, analyzing data and reflecting on learning, the work is focused on organizational goals for social impact. At its best, evaluation creates space to experiment, reflect and imagine; it informs strategy, identifies challenges and resource gaps, and
discovers opportunities for
improvement and innovation.
I research and help design focused giving areas for philanthropic individuals and families, foundations, and corporate giving programs. This may include creating new grant models and learning and reporting processes. I also test, review, enhance, and implement grantmaking systems. I cultivate learning circles and assist funders with capturing (and acting on) feedback from grantees and other community partners.
Our personal and professional worlds are intertwined. In my coaching capacity, I help people honor their strengths, confront challenges, and effectively communicate with their colleagues. I work one-on-one, in team-based sessions, and as an interim executive to support more cohesive organizational systems. When people and systems are humming, there is exponential social impact.
