As a Social Impact Advisor, I work with clients as a consultant, facilitator, and coach.
My style comes from being raised by educators, living and working in diverse communities, serving in volunteer corps, working in various nonprofit departments, earning a M.S. in Public Service Management, and supporting hundreds of leaders in a variety of organizations. This includes museums, schools, corporate charities, churches, associations, federations, start-up social enterprises, foundations, social service agencies, technology solutions' firms, among others. I am passionate about supporting people and systems for positive social impact.
From 2001 to 2009, I worked with a national consulting firm and conducted evaluations and facilitated strategic planning processes for a variety of nonprofits and also developed philanthropic strategies for foundations and CSR departments. Since then I have worked independently and offer strategy, evaluation, giving, and team development services. For projects that will benefit from different perspectives and other professional specialities, I draw from my trusted network and affiliate. Some of my go-to collaborators include Ashley Storman, Kristen Roberts, Nadine Long, and Aaron Chavis.
I am committed to my own professional development, capturing client feedback, and practicing the reflective activities I encourage my clients to try. A passionate learner and entrepreneur, I pay attention to the ever-evolving nonprofit and business sectors, adapt, and integrate new tools and approaches.
My favorite projects are those where clients bravely face challenges and explore promising potentials for personal, team-based, and organizational transformation.
